Bathroom plumbing

A bathroom renovation is a plumbing job with a tiler in the middle of it. The pipework — hot, cold and waste to every fitting, the shower valve set at the right depth, the WC outlet in the right place — has to be finished and pressure-tested before the tiler closes the wall, and the fittings go on after the tiler leaves. Getting that sequence wrong is the expensive mistake, which is why we price the re-plumb as one job and the fitting as another.

If you are only changing the ware, the fitting bands are the ones you need. The WC line covers fitting one you supply; the sanitary ware itself, the tiling and any electrics are separate.

What it costs

The bands come from Maltese price guides published in 2026: a bathroom re-plumb €1,500 to €4,000 for the labour, a WC installation €80 to €250, a tap €60 to €140. Sanitary ware, tiling and electrics are not in them.

A band, not a quote: the low end is a straightforward job with clear access, the high end is the same job with the complications a site visit finds. Materials are included where the line says so.

Do I need the condominium's permission?

Not for work inside your own apartment, unless it touches a shared stack or the structure. Moving a WC across a shared soil pipe is worth a conversation with the administrator first.
